The short answer is YES! First, let’s look at what it is. Peyronie’s Disease: (check out this site ) happens to men from mid twenties, to men well into their 80′s and 90′s. I disagree with this article only in this: I have seen it go away in patients (the article says it doesn’t). The condition feels like a little stone or calcium hardening under the skin in the shaft of the penis. It causes the penis to curve toward the location of the hardening. Sometimes, it is painless and the penis is barely arched. Sometimes it is very painful, and intercourse is impossible when the penis is extremely arched. There is NO clear reason why some men get this. It’s been said that men have had this occur when the penis has been injured or bruised, but even that is not conclusive. Women partners need to be supportive of the guy who has this condition. It’s tough to have your most important organ injured! Substitute a big dildo or vibrator for his penis, if you must have intercourse. Let him handle the dildo, and keep telling him how hot and sexy you feel, and how hot he is while he is working on you. Relax and enjoy the experience. With a dildo, it’s much easier to tell a man what you like or don’t like. Consider downplaying the importance of intercourse, and get into new stimulation – oral or manual, or use toys. At midlife, it’s time to downplay intercourse, anyway!
