Little do they know … midlife and beyond is the best time! The freedom and wisdom that comes with midlife is exciting. We know that good sex is a great mind game – that we can decide not to base our experiences on performance, but rather on pleasuring. That gives us a whole host of new ways to look at sex. For some individuals, it’s knowing that intercourse is only one option on a new menu of ideas. To orgasm or not – well, some people enjoy each other without the pressure of having to “come” all the time. Not to say that a good orgasm isn’t wonderful – of course, YES, it is – but there may be times when it just doesn’t happen, just as it didn’t always happen when you were younger. Now, however, we can talk to our partners about it, and not feel like a failure! Let’s mix it up … a little more play, a little more time spent exploring bodies. Time to have fun and let go of the pressures of always trying to live up to standard that only Madison Avenue with an airbrush can achieve.
